Job Description
Work as part of a small team to lead, plan, design, document, develop, modify, test, support, and troubleshoot an iOS-based payment processing application. Heartland has an existing in-house developed library for card acquisition and transaction processing that needs to be ported to work on iPhones and iPads, including building UI elements capable of displaying templated data. This would be a 6 month contract position.
Job Responsibilities
iOS designing & programming, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Swift language experience – 2 years.
Objective-C language experience – 5 years.
C language experience – 2 years or comfortable enough to understand the C code and go through the flow. Experience debugging C applications is a plus.
At least 10 years of total work experience with a minimum of 5 years in iOS development.
Some UI, mixing Objective C, Swift, and C code using DLLs and Delegates is required.
Ability to plan a project for yourself and others so that all milestones are met or exceeded.
Ability to work with minimum direction.
Good verbal and written communication skills to express design, architecture, project status and plan effectively.
Ability to integrate a changing code base into a separate application.
Ability to take ownership of large tasks and/or projects with little or no assistance from others.
Experience in the POS or financial transaction processing industry preferred.
Experience interacting with external peripherals preferred.
Participates in design, documentation, and code reviews.
Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems.
Experience in a fast paced environment, meeting aggressive deadlines.
Mature enough to own / drive milestones, escalating issues as needed.
