Job Description :
The HR support specialist will work with the HRIS Technical Manager to provide data entry and record update support needed to ensure that new employees are properly hired, existing employees are correctly transferred from unit to unit, and general actions required to ensure successful HR processes are completed.

Scope of Work/Key Responsibilities:
Data entry into GHR, Search Soft or other applicable system.
Mass uploads and verification of data entered to change critical data elements for employees (e.g. pay rates)
Troubleshooting functional issues with data entry
Other duties as assigned


Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years'' work experience (minimum):

· Experience with a major ERP product (i.e. Oracle, PeopleSoft, Lawson)
· Direct/indirect experience with k-12 education (teaching preferred)
· Strong customer service skills
· Must have clean criminal record with the ability to pass finger-print background check
· Must be authorized to work in the Unites States.
· Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Education/Training:

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Minimal initial training will be provided. Ability to learn quickly is required

Work:

This work will be completed on-site at the any of the Atlanta Public Schools sites or building in the metro Atlanta area including the Center for Learning and Leadership. The specialist would need to work M, T, W, TH, and F (typically 8am – 5pm Some OT work may be necessary.
