Role : Datastage Developer
Location : Westfield, OH

MUST BE USC OR GC Holder – NO H1b
Job Responsibilities
Proven knowledge of Extraction, Transformation and Loading concepts, including proven technical knowledge of ETL tools (DataStage), RDBMS and the ability to understand and interpret data models
Demonstrated proficiency in DataStage v8.01 or greater
Proven experience working with file transfer methods (e.g. FTP)
Proven experience working in data management, configuration and logical data modeling
Proven proficiency in understanding relational database concepts
Proven proficiency in writing SQL against relational databases
Demonstrated understandings of VSAM file structures
Knowledge of business requirements, test plan development and execution
ETL Process Design Define the scope, target and transformation rules for DataStage process.
Expectations of Role:
Participate in transformation requirements walkthroughs / Prepare Data Mapping documentation, which defines source-to-target field mapping / Include a logical description of specific transformation rules for the data being transformed
Develop ETL Processes, and Develop DataStage jobs to conform with Westfield''s established coding standards
Expectations of Role:
Code transformation rules per coding standards / Develop DataStage Parallel Jobs / Develop DataStage Sequence Jobs
Unit Test Unit test the individual DataStage component that is developed
Expectations of Role:
Document ETL Test Plan / Test ETL process / Validate expected results
System Integration Test (SIT) Coordinate with Data Integration Team Lead to move ETL processes to SIT environment, monitor and administer automated and manual ETL jobs, and perform defect resolution.
Expectations of Role:
Migrated ETL processes in conformance with software release processes
Loaded SIT per Project timeline
Modified DataStage code per Project timeline
Problem Assessment for Defects assigned to vendor representative
Resolved Defects assigned to vendor representative.
Move to Production Coordinate with Data Integration Team Lead to move ETL processes to Production environment
Expectations of Role:
ETL processes migrated to Production in conformance with software release processes Loaded EDW, applications and DM tool per Project timeline.
