Title:Linux Admin with SCADA
Location:Spring Valley, NY
Duration:12 months +
Interview:Face to Face
System administrator, responsible for implementing multi-platform environments across many sites.
Enterprise level system administrator for Unix/Linux(Redhat), Windows sever, SAN storage and VMware.
Perform Windows and Unix operating system administration for local and remote systems including installation, software patch, system security,
data backup, disc array management, and problem analysis activates
Experience with Clusters and shared clustered file systems, High Availability at server and application level.
Experience with Redhat Satellite system management, kickstart servers.
Install, configure, manage VMware ESXi, vSphere, provide HA, backup/restore, and DR capabilities
Monitor and manage database backup / restore / replication procedures.
Responsible for the completion of assigned, written documentation and completing documentation on the setup and configuration of system environment.
Provide fellow system administrators and support representatives with technical support and guidance.
Familiarity with Unix editors and ability to read existing scripts, and write custom scripts to automate system management tasks.
Ability to multitask and switch priorities as business warrants.
Proficient in managing and administering relational databases (RDBMS) – SQL experience a plus, PostgreSQL a plus
Proficient in Linux Administration (Red Hat preferred) – this includes scripting (Bash is a plus), starting/stopping services, monitoring, application
deployment, and troubleshooting
Experience in developing and administering a Disaster Recovery plans and documentation is a plus
The following are not required for this position but would be considered as a valuable asset in a potential candidate.
