About the role:
The BBH Senior Systems Business Analyst acts as a liaison between the Enterprise Data Management and the SMEs in both systems and business groups. The individual is responsible for analyzing critical data elements, their definitions, classifications, lineage and physical storage location. The resource must be able to work within the defined program objectives of BBH''s Data Stewardship organization.
The individual identifies and helps SMEs classify information contained in a given application to determine it criticality and to properly classify it in order to develop a technical and business glossary of data knowledge. This can include business terminology, physical meta data and business or technical lineage of data elements. Must be able to apply best practices of data management to the project objectives.
The Systems Business Analyst should be familiar with all phases of the systems development life cycle - from project scoping, planning and requirements definition to issues resolution, testing, training and implementation. The user will also lead discussions and provide input as well as resolve issues.
Responsibilities:

* Ensure current and accurate documentation of the solution, including business requirements documents, use cases, test cases and wire frames.
* Develop clear, concise methodology documents, which require proficiency in interviewing skills, workflow analysis, dataflow diagramming, screen design, etc.
* Review and assist in development of project plans, project workflows and resource assignments as requested by Project Manager.
* Facilitate the definition of functional requirements by working with programmer analysts and users in prototyping and design sessions.
* Translate and present project concepts into effective visual images which clarify design elements and issues for both business and technical audiences.
* Maintain issue log; coordinate and support communications surrounding both systems and user acceptance for assigned project(s
* Identify, mediate, resolve and eliminate miscommunications between business and technical project team members.

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

* Previous systems analysis or data integration experience
* Knowledge of Data Governance Practices and Experience with IBM Infosphere Governance Catalog
* Minimum 7-10 years of experience working in technical environments and documenting specifications.
* Strong technical skills including a solid understanding of underlying relevant technical architecture and business processes
* Knowledge of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle required
* Exposure to project work and project planning, as well as project management software
