Description:
Seeking an Audio / Visual Architect to join the team and acts as an intermediary between the business and technical communities. The architect will report to the AV service owner.
The role will work with the IS Service team to architect, implement and trouble shoot AV solutions. Solutions will be based on business requirements and technical constraints which a solution must accommodate.
The primary responsibility of the architect is to assess each individual situation and determine what actions are required to make a solution operational. This will involve situations which implement a solution for the first time and resolve existing solutions which are not operating correctly.
Implementation activities will require configuration, system testing and confirmation of functional readiness.
Problem resolution will involve troubleshooting, issue resolution and working with other services to resolve solutions that involve other integrated services (e.g. networking
The role will also evaluate existing / new technologies, configuration / installation processes and testing procedures to ensure adherence to standards.
Technical configuration of AV technologies (affected by EUT integrations, Networking, Configuration Management Database Items, sign-on permissions for AD
Advise on recommended AV solutions for a situation. System testing. User Acceptance Testing. Installation verification. Review and or create documentation for installation, testing and training.
Incident resolution. Problem Management. Communicate status of open activities to the AV service owner.
Requirements:
Understand Skype, Polycom, AD and networking technologies and their integration.
Methodologies for troubleshooting and testing with an emphasis on technologies in the AV domain. ITIL methodologies.
Demonstrate an understanding of the use of AV technologies to satisfy business functionality and how that will affect solution selection and configuration.
