Position Summary
Our Client is looking for application designer/developer with experience in Java/J2EE and Liferay Portal. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing and developing large scale transactional web applications. They will have worked as part of a team that leverages modern architectures and agile development practices.
Responsibilities:
" The role is responsible for the web portal enhancements, configuration and development activities.
" The role requires extensive experience in the application development using Java and Liferay portal.
" The role also requires analytical and conceptual thinking, integration and problem solving skills.
" Expertise in web portal and web application development in Liferay.
" Analytical and conceptual thinking - ability to analyze the requirements and propose best solutions.
Essential Skills:
" 3+ Years of experience with Java/J2EE.
" 2+ Years of experience with Liferay 6.2.
" Working experience of Liferay 7 is required (6 months to 1 year
" Hands on development and design of Liferay application.
" Must have skills to handle delivery pressure.
" Good Knowledge on OSGI modules and Integration.
" At least one major client-side JavaScript framework (Angular, Backbone, Meteor, Bootstrap, etc
" Strong Spring based web application development experience is required.
" Good understanding on the salient features of Liferay 7 over 6 and DXP over 7 is required.
" Good understanding of Oracle PL/SQL and / or database concepts
" Ideally, the candidate should have experience in administration of Liferay portal server.
" Strong experience of Web application design and development end-to-end i.e. full stack developer.
" Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
" Knowledge of equities and/or prime brokerage / securities finance a plus
" Knowledge of the trade lifecycle (Trading, Middle Office, Settlements) a plus
" Mobile development experience is a plus
" Knowledge of NoSQL database systems is a plus
" Understanding of messaging middleware and patterns (MQ, Tibco, etc
" Close to 1 year of solid experience with Liferay version 7 Is plus.
" Preferable experience in Liferay DXP is plus.
" Knowledge of Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Web Sphere Configuration Management.
" Knowledge of web sphere IDE/Tools- Eclipse, Net Beans, ANT, Maven Technologies.
" Knowledge on UI/Frontend design is plus.
" Experience with Scrum, Agile methodology''s and good documentation skills.
" User Interface development with HTML 5.0, XML, CSS 3.0, JS, AJAX, JSON.
