Job Title: Helpdesk/TSC - Entry level
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 12+ Months
The TSC is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, (24x7); therefore shift start times and durations may vary each week. The Technician’s scope of work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:
Providing Tier 1 software and hardware support;
Using documented procedures and checklists to assist end users with technical issues;
Using a ticket tracking system to log end user information and description of the issue;
Escalating problems to Tier 2 technical support;
Communicating with the end users regarding the status of the issue resolution
Installing computer hardware and software including personal computers, printers, and peripherals in both a network and standalone environment;
Installing and troubleshooting clients in a Microsoft networking environment;
Installing, troubleshooting, and supporting desktop applications and operating systems including Windows OS’s, Office, Outlook, and Internet Explorer;
TCP/IP protocols;
Installing, diagnosing, and repairing hardware including scanners, hard drives, RAM, processors, CDRWs, DVDRW’s, multimedia kits, other peripherals.
NOTE: In addition to the above list, all selected candidates must successfully complete a Level II Background Check.
Preferred:
Supporting computers in a criminal justice environment;
Working in a call center environment;
In Active Directory user administration.
