As Senior Business Intelligence expert, you will work with cross functional business and insights experts and executives to improve Consumability, efficiency and capacity for data driven decision making.
You have a holistic approach to data hierarch : you should have an ability to get an overview of the data and hierarchize it in terms of its importance to the user, and in terms of UI real estate constraints. This can often mean segmenting the data into sections, or tabs. It can mean deciding what to display and what not to display. You need to understand the constraints of different device platforms (mobile vs desktop
Determine best method to gather, model, manipulate and present data. Gather business requirements and translates business questions into requirements
Enable the business to concentrate on driving results, through access to centralized self-service reporting and metrics, supporting a one version of the truth environment.
Collaborate with data owners to ensure reliable, accessible, high fidelity information within our tools, driving requirements through a focus on stakeholder needs.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the globe on key strategic insights to help drive the business forward. Your insights are the first response for business on a hourly, daily, weekly and monthly cadence. Building confidence and value is key.
Requirements:
9+ years’ experience in a business intelligence role
Critical Technical Skills : Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, HANA, HADOOP, Micro Strategy, Kyvos, Collibra, Spark, Snaplogic
Ability to walk through and analyze data, with a view to displaying that data in a UI. Able to mentally visualize the data, and choose the appropriate type(s) of dataviz charts.
Able to communicate effectively with all the various actors in a project, from the stakeholders to the users to the developers. The candidate should be able to listen to and analyze requirements, and translate and transmit them to other project members. The candidate needs to show confidence and have good vocabulary and communication skills.
A good understanding of the principal BI platforms (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, MSTR)
A thorough understanding of relevant design software : Photoshop, Illustrator, Experience Design. The ability to create simple clickable/working prototypes is a strong plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Intelligence or related field required (Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred)
Adept in building enterprise-wide analytic-centric solutions for managed self service
