Web Developer
Location: McLean, VA
Duration: 7-8 months
Description:
Small analytics team looking for web developer to build interactive business intelligence dashboard. Our team has an array of models, financial statistics, and economic forecasts that need to be presented to senior management. We would like to present that information via an easy to use dashboard. This dashboard should also allow senior management to perform scenario analysis using the underlying models and data. Lastly, the dashboard needs to be accessible via laptop or iPad.
Detailed Responsibility:
- Assist in designing the database that underlies the dashboard. The database should be optimized for scenario analysis.
- Assist in configuring of develop environment. Assist in porting dashboard to production environment.
- Building the dashboard, including UI design (logo and graphics provided by client
- Attend meetings related to these activities.
- Engage with other departments as necessary to produce dashboard.
Basic Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in web development (including interactive business intelligence dashboards)
- Python (Django and/or Flask), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, D3, JQuery, AJAX , MVC methodology, Bash scripting, Unix/Linux
Preferred Requirements:
- The languages/platforms/tools above, plus: Apache, NVD3, SAS, SQL
