Responsibilities:

The HTS Specialist is an expert in one or more of the following areas: biochemical or cell-based assays, HTS, high-content screening, gene editing (e.g., CRISPR-Cas9) or RNAi technology. While he/she frequently updates project progresses to and seeks guidance from the Director - High Throughput Bioscience (HTB) Center, the HTS Specialist is expected to independently collaborate, lead and implement assigned projects, and presents or publishes research results. Collaborates with researchers to develop and configure biological assays for HTS, and to develop novel bioassays to meet specific need; Leads and implements projects, leads or participates in project team activities, conducts data analysis, quality control and management; Maintains instruments, conducts trouble-shooting and quality control initiatives;

Assists the Director - HTB Center in managing the daily activities of the HTB center; Presents research results internally and externally, leads or participates in preparation of manuscripts for publications in peer-review journals. Minimum Education:Bachelors or masters degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field required. PhD in biological sciences with relevant postdoctoral training preferred.Minimum Experience:Experience with assay development and high-throughput screening is required.

Seven (7) years of relevant experience is required with a bachelor's degree.

Six (6) years of relevant experience is acceptable with a master's degree.At least two (2) years of relevant experience is acceptable with a PhD.Experience in automation, data management, high-content screening (imaging- or flow cytometry-based) and gene editing/RNAi technology, and a strong publication record are a plus.
