Position Overview
The Data Analyst Professional role will be part of the Credit Risk Transfer (CRT) team within the Strategic Delivery Division. The individual will be responsible to analyze current and future state data requirements, understand the current state and proposed business logic and rules changes and document and present the data analysis findings in support of the CRT Productionalization Initiative.
Duties & Expected Deliverables
The candidate will function as a data analyst on the team to facilitate product development. Specific responsibilities include the following
Ability to read and write simple to complex SQL queries
Perform data analysis which includes comparing logic from current state systems to the future state systems
Ability to create and present data analysis findings to business and technical teams
Create and maintain data reference materials, such as user guide, data dictionary, current and future state logic, etc.
Document business requirements
Required Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Very strong data and analytical skills including: technical requirement gathering, data mapping, data analysis and writing technical documentation
Relationship Management: ability to adapt to different styles and collaborate with business area as a strategic partner to achieve goals
Comfortable with changing priorities in support of executive team needs
Ability to take initiative with general guidance and direction
Experience in articulating business requirements and documenting with the ability to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and perform post production validation of solution implemented.
Acts as liaison between business area and technical support teams to ensure all parties have complete understanding of the data business requirements.
Responsible for maintaining documentation and other relevant documentation as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of six years of experience
College Degree or equivalent experience
DB2 and Oracle database experience
Proficient in reading, writing and modifying SQL queries
Data analysis/mining and analytical skills
MS Office
Previous customer relations experience with business and technical teams
Must be able to adapt to ambiguous situations in a diplomatic and professional manner
Experience working as business analyst/data analyst
Preferred Skills
Experience in the Mortgage industry, Freddie Mac, and information needs
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changes
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
