Embedded Hardware and Software Development Technical Specialist
Location is Auburn Hills, MI
Contract to Hire

Responsibilities and/or Duties:
Work with technical project managers to identify project scope,
establish budgets, and develop project schedules
Support the development of hardware and software documentation
including specifications, schematics, BOMs, software architectures, etc.
Develop advanced, custom hardware and software solutions in both
team and lone environments
Identify hardware and software tools and techniques that will
benefit the project
Research and identify potential system components
Act as a technical specialist and mentor to other team members
Qualifications:
Required Skills
Bachelor''s degree in EE or CE (or equivalent experience)
10-15 years of hardware and software design experience (including
college projects)
Interface with customers, engineers, and technical project
managers to develop hardware and software solutions and budgets
Motivated, with ability to work with minimal guidance
Automotive module development cycle, deliverables and required
documentation and verification
Automotive Communication physical layers (CAN, LIN, MOST,
Ethernet) experience
Experience with various operating systems (embedded Linux,
Android, QNX, ROS, etc
Experience in wireless communication (BT, WiFi, NFC, 2/3/4G, GPS,
802.11p)
Emphasis in automotive hardware and software design techniques
Experience designing for microcontroller and digital logic control
systems
Experience designing analog and digital I/O circuitry
Debugging skills including utilization of logic analyzers, DMMs,
oscilloscopes, etc.
Prototype and production oriented design experience
Experience in developing control modules for infotainment,
telematics, ADAS, motor controls, hybrid and electric vehicle applications
