Required:
The Business Intelligence and Data Integration Developer will be responsible for understanding the requirements and detailed data ecosystem of the components and applications associated with the internal program, and using this knowledge to prepare and champion specific recommendations, guidelines, practices, and design reports/dashboards which will answer business questions. This member will also act as an in-house expert to mentor and assist technical staff in mastering techniques and best practices associated with the MS BI Stack: reports development using SSRS; development of data integration packages using SSIS; development of analysis cubes using SSAS.
The Business Intelligence and Data Integration Developer will collaborate as part of a team composed of technical leaders representing the enterprise, application, data and network architecture, interface development, security, and business relationship management areas of the program.

Experience Requirement:
4+ years of related experience in business intelligence development and data integration of which the last:
o Two years includes specific duties as a business intelligence developer using Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or higher and at least 2 of the following: SSIS, SSAS, SSRS;
o Two years includes Agile development methodologies;
o Four years “hands on” experience using Structured Query Language.
o Note: The above role specific experience may have been acquired concurrently.
Experience creating, implementing and testing procedures for backing up and recovering databases;
Experience supporting data management functions in public safety and justice domains (Court and Probation Case Management, Law Enforcement Records Management, Jail Management) is desirable;
Must have a solid understanding of principles and practices of:
o Kimball methodology;
o Data lakes, data warehouse, and big data;
o software development;
o technical problem solving;
o customer service;
o project and technical documentation;
o programming, including programming languages and utilities is desirable;
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5+ years of related experience.
Skills Requirement:
Research, analyze and define technical problems and recommend alternative solutions.
Ability to define and implement practices for aligning data presentations with business requirements.
Knowledge of both established and emerging data reporting and visualization technologies, including the ability to identify when each can be effectively applied and the advantages / disadvantages of each.
Ability to clearly document reporting / dashboard requirements, data structures, data definitions, and data provenance.
Ability to work closely with agency and department technical and management resources.
Must be able to produce high quality work, both independently and on a team, in a fast-moving environment.
Must be able to plan and prioritize personal tasking.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Education Requirement:
Responsibilities
Design and develop reports, dashboards, integration packages, analysis cubes using the tools / technology outlined in the Experience section;
Document all of the following: business requirements, design requirements, and development work;
Lead and collaborate in the creation, maintenance and dissemination of development work, mentoring PSJSP staff in the skills and techniques required;
Participate in the creation, maintenance and dissemination of data documentation;
Collaborate in the creation, maintenance and testing of database backup and recovery and business continuity protection procedures;
Collaborate in the creation and implementation of procedures to ensure data quality, data integrity, security enforcement, and data retention according to SCC policies and regulatory or business requirements;
Participate in the establishment of guidelines and code review of data related artifacts, including integrity constraints, triggers, views, and stored procedures;
Prepare weekly status reports;
Coordinate with other ISD staff and management;
Coordinate project activities with customers and external stakeholders;
Provides leadership and mentoring to other team members;
