Job Title: Embedded Software Quality Tester
Location: Indianola, PA
Duration: 6+ months (With possible Extension)
Candidates must have strong software testing experience & C/C++/RTOS experience !!!!!!!!

Skill & Competency Requirements:
- C/C++ programming language knowledge required
- 5+ years’ experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Experience writing manual/automation tests and executing tests for existing code bases from existing requirements
- Experience in use of debuggers/emulators for breakpoint generation
- Knowledge of board level hardware and interfacing
Preferences:
- Experience with oscilloscopes, analyzers and schematic reading preferred
- Knowledge of VxWorks or any RTOS
- 2+ years designing and implementing test plans, scripts and scenarios
- Experience in scripting languages
- Experience with IEC62304 medical software testing highly preferred
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- The development of comprehensive test cases and procedures based on product and software requirements. The ideal candidate would be given a set of requirements from which test protocols would be constructed.
- Formal execution of the test procedures and generation of test reports. This necessitates knowledge of configuration management and document creation.
- Defect tracking and verification of fixes. Familiarity with defect tracking systems like MKS Integrity Manager a plus. Templates and rules are provided, execution to that is needed.
- Requirements traceability to test cases. Familiarity with trace/requirement tools like RQM and Doors a big plus. Once execution is complete and reports approved, traceability for proof is key.
Working with automated test tools and creation of test scripts if required. There is a potential for a candidate to shine here as we are developing this capability currently. Ability to lead and communicate effectively is necessary for this position.
- With many products in flight, responsibilities may include independent code review and occasional product development with Design Engineer oversight. Primary responsibility will be to lead the software test competency for the Device Software group.
