Title - Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure)
Location: Seattle, WA
Job Description:
Basic Qualifications:
Qualified senior level applicants should be fluid in all major industry forms of could services: Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, OpenStack, etc.
5+ years of experience in developing infrastructure as code for automating provisioning, deployment and monitoring solutions deployed on the public cloud (such as Azure or AWS)
8+ years of experience working in Operations, Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability in a medium to large company.
Strong experience with virtualization technologies, in particular VMWare, KVM, etc.
Strong experience with containerization tools such as Docker, LXC, etc.
Strong experience with Configuration Management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, SaltStack
Strong code/scripting skills
Experience working with complex network topologies and hardware
A track record of building tools and services with high reliability and scalability.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Automate end-to-end infrastructure and workflows using best-of-breed, cloud-native technologies (APIs) to build an elastic infrastructure and platform used to power provisioning, deployment, scaling and monitoring.
Build microservices that are highly available and fault tolerant
Partner with various engineering teams to transform concepts and requirements into services and tools
Quickly prototype ideas to prove or disprove their merits
Share knowledge, experience and best practices with the team
