Position: Front End Developer
Duration: 6+ months. This would be open ended contract!
Interview: Phone and then ON-SITE personal interview in McLean.
We have Front End Engineer opening with a client in McLean, VA. Candidates must have ANGULAR 2 development experience.
The Front End Developer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the front end for our web properties, and coordinating with our design team to modernize our existing user experience and also collaborate on new projects. The ideal candidate is a web engineer who is highly proficient in HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript & extension libraries, that also has an eye for design.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement front-end coding standards and process to create cross browser-compliant web pages from design comps
Identify opportunities for improvements/efficiencies and drive adoption within the team
Stay current with user interface best practices and emerging technologies
Create a rich user experience using JavaScript and other client-side RIA frameworks
Coordinate with design team to modernize our existing user experience, and collaborate on new projects
Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of developing rich, customer-facing web applications
Significant experience with one or more of the following: AngularJS(1.x, 2.x), Meteor, Node.js, MEAN stack, Backbone.js, Express.js, and Sails.js
Web designer highly proficient in HTML 5, CSS 3 and JavaScript
Skilled at creating user interfaces that drive engagement
Significant experience with JQuery, AngularJS, and/or EXT-JS libraries
Extensive knowledge of cross browser compatibility and browser degradation strategies
Understanding of view templating frameworks
Understanding of back-end application server technologies (preferably J2EE/JEE)
Well versed in code optimization and software design principles, with a passion and demonstrated experience in UI design and development
Software version control and release management experience
Education:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
