Job Description :
Function:
An Internet/Web Engineer will be provided to assist the South Carolina Department of Education’s (SCDE) Office of Project & Application Management.
This developer will provide daily management and ongoing development of web applications used by the office of Educator Services until a newly requested solution is awarded and fully implemented.
This developer will oversee any changes to the SQL databases used by the Certification system as well as design and implement application code changes and web page development.
Cold Fusion and ASP.NET will be the primary development languages used with this project.

Daily duties / responsibilities:
Use ColdFusion to maintain existing Certification applications used by the Office of Educator Services.
Design, develop, and deploy any modifications or required enhancements to the applications used by the Office of Educator Services.
Document all programs written or modified.
Work from the Park lane office one day a week as requested by the Director of Educator Services.
Provide weekly status reports to the Director of the Office of Educator Services and to the Director, Project & Application Management.
Work will not exceed 40 hours per week. On occasion there may be a need to exceed the weekly hours at the request of SCDE.
Each week the consultant will report a breakdown of hours spent on the project.
Participate in bi-weekly status meetings with the Director of Educator Services and Director of Project & Application Management.
