Position : FBAP IT Analyst / Developer
Location : Novi, MI
Duration : 6 months

Primary skills : 3+ years IBI FOCUS programming experience,Reporting,Modify (database updates etc, CRT Forms (Screens), SQL (knowledge),Minimum of 6 months of VAX /

FUNCTION (DEPARTMENT ROLE): Implement new code or code enhancements to support the launching of new FBAP clients and evolving business needs of existing FBAP clients. Work effectively in all stages of the product development lifecycle (translate user requirements into design, detail design, code, test, support, etc. As a member of a team, implement code enhancements to the FBAP application, research issues and questions, resolve problems raised by users and analyze failed batch jobs.FBAP means: Freight Bill Audit & Payment.

Responsibilities:

Review and clarify business requirements with internal users and external clients.
Develop a functional specification (high-level design) and corresponding estimated work effort to implement requested changes.
Create a detail design based on requirements and functional specification.
Code, unit test, integration test and implementation.
Provide post-implementation and on-going support of the application.
Work closely with Project Managers and Lead Designers to provide status and other required information.
Assist Operations Teams and FBAP business teams (i.e. auditors, TMOS, EDI, etc with their questions.
Coordinate with other IT teams.

PURPOSE (END RESULTS): The FBAP Developer’s purpose is to provide high-quality support for existing FBAP clients and to help enhance / customize the FBAP system to accommodate requirements for new FBAP clients. With a large backlog and consistent inflow of client requests (AKA Change Requests), this role will be key in helping the team achieve its goal of reducing the backlog and maintaining a steady-state of new versus completed Change Requests. The individual must be independent and self-driven.

Consultant Must have skills:

3+ years IBI FOCUS programming experience
Reporting
Modify (database updates etc
CRT Forms (Screens)
SQL (knowledge)
5+ years of COBOL programming experience
Minimum of 6 months of VAX / VMS experience

Additional requirements:

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work within a diverse team environment
Effective organizational and project management skills
Ability to work in a fixed price environment with minimal application documentation and frequent changes in priority
The role requires some after-hours and weekend support
Experience in all phases of the Systems Development Lifecycle
