Job Title: UX/UI Designer
Location: Century city, CA
Duration: 6 Months
Define and design mobile friendly web applications using a keen eye for design, typography, color and understanding of user interface and user experience best practices; as well as develop and transform wireframes that meet all the requirements and functionality for a particular audience into visually appealing user interfaces.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis and Design
?Conducts fact gathering sessions with customers.
?Consults with Business Analysts to identify and analyze user experience needs.
?Leads group application"s user experience and user interface design activities.
?Creates mock-ups, prototypes, wireframes, story boards, user flows, process flows and site maps following best user experience practices and ability to implement solutions based on unique needs of specific users.
?Design contemporary user interfaces that are consistent with the current brand while continuing to evolve the visual brand.
?Utilize solid understanding of typographic hierarchy, web font best practices and the latest visual design web trends.
?Translates application ideas and users" concepts into elegant, intuitive, clean designs.
Development and Testing
?Develops new software components according to defined application requirements using HTML 5, CSS 3, and Object Oriented JavaScript.
?Performs Unit Testing of applications (Knowledge of Jasmine and Karma preferred
?Produce high-quality, visual responsive Web designs; from concept to execution, including those for desktop, tablet and mobile devices at a variety of resolutions.
?Works with development team to provide user experience requirements and user interface designs and makes sure they are executed correctly.
?Collaborates with internal development team to ensure flawless integration with back-end technology and a great user experience
?Identifies complex integration and user acceptance test scenarios.
?Writes front-end code (JavaScript, etc using current standards for cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility.
?Adheres to department programming standards and methodology.
Administrative
?Works as a member of a cross-functional, integrated development team.
?Performs workload planning, tracking accomplishments, team meetings and status reporting.
?Works with the other developers to continually improve development standards and other departmental processes and documentation.
?Communicates plans, status and issues to management on a regular basis.
?Adheres to department standards, policies, procedures and industry best practices.
Departmental Requirements
?Assist with the design, development and maintenance of Client"s Corporate Intranet.
Knowledge:
?Good understanding of web development languages such as HTML 5, CSS 3 and Object ? Oriented JavaScript.
?Good understanding of responsive and adaptive design techniques for different screen size and resolution.
?Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.
?Knowledge of Entertainment industry business practices a plus.
Skills:
?Must have ability to provide deliverables in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
?Expert knowledge of CSS Preprocessors such as SASS or LESS.
?Capable to communicate orally and in writing in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
?Ability to create process flow diagrams and flowcharts using Visio or similar charting tool.
?Advanced skills in developing responsive UI widgets using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
?Ability to understand and translate high-level requirements into intuitive, clean, functional and visual appealing user interfaces.
?Excellent visual, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Experience:
?Minimum 3-year experience as a UX/UI Designer for multi-tier web and mobile friendly web applications in a business environment.
?Minimum 2-year experience mocking, designing or developing web components applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
?Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus.
