POSITION SUMMARY
The Java CMS Architect should have proven experience as a lead in the analysis, design, (hands-on) development, and delivery of web-based applications. Provide architectural and big picture oversight for development of new or enhanced implementations. Work with various developers, business analysts, and direct client interaction to deliver high quality code. Strong technical skills are required in the areas of Java development, as well as Java content management solutions. Knowledge of front-end development, service-based architectures, and database design is also required. This position allows the opportunity to dive into problem solving challenges and think creatively about ways to improve process and implement new and interesting technology solutions.

Represent Authentic during all phases of the project life-cycleto provide solution designs, implementation oversight, and code quality reviews.
Provide technical leadership to our internal team, as well as external or 3rd party team members,in the implementation and maintenance of web applications.
Support our Sales Team with new business development efforts through estimation, design, solution, and presentation.
Review functional and non-functional requirements to develop technical design documentation
Write code to extend and enhance the features and functionality of Java based content management platforms

SKI LLS &ABI LI TIES
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in degree in computer science, software development, software architecture or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 5+ years of Java experience or other OO language.
2+ experience using Enterprise CMS, such as Hippo, JahiaSiteCore.
3+ years of senior level experience architecting, designing, and developing dynamic websites and applications, with knowledge of the software design life cycle (SDLC) good design principles (OOAD), and an understanding of software testing.
3+ years of experience providing technical leadership generating architectural roadmaps, training and mentoring team members
At least 1 year of experience in a continuous integration environment
Prefer recent experience using/creating Docker containers
Prefer experience deploying applications in an AWS environment
Prefer experience with Spring Security, ADFS, LDAP, OATH
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
Computer Skills: Jira/Confluence, Mac environment
Language required: Java, Web Services (REST), JavaScript/ES6, CSS, XML, code documentation and Best practices, source code management (GIT
Frameworks required: Recent experience with MVC Frameworks, Spring, Maven
Platforms required: Linux, Apache Tomcat
