Job Summary
This individual should be focused on reliability, scalability, monitoring and reporting and familiar with the development of cloud computing infrastructure (public and private Develop, maintain and operate software that
automates the traditional roles of the system administrator at large scale, such as configuration and cluster management systems, and that support reliability and scalability goals and the systems architecture of microservices - service oriented architecture.
Responsibilities
· Design and deploy software required to communicate with a variety of telemetric endpoints.
· Design and deploy software required to monitor and report on private and public cloud computing infrastructure and services.
· Collaborate with operational leadership and colleagues to properly define site reliability targets to support and maintain.
· Design, develop and support highly repeatable processes required to automate defined processes within a DevOps environment.
Requirements
· 9+ years of experience working within a Unix/Linux Administration
· 9+ years of experience working with APM(e.g. New Relic, AppDynamics, etc)
· 9+ years of experience working with Time Series DB (e.g. InfluxDB, OpenTSDB, Cassandra, Vulcan, etc)
· 5+ years of experience working with Monitoring tools such as ELK (e.g. FluentD, Kafaka, Watcher, etc)
· 2+ years of experience working with Prometheus or CollectD
· 5+ years of experience working with Nagios(or Sensu, Check_MK, Cactus, etc)
· 5+ years of experience working with monitoring scalability and reliability of Docker-Kubernetes-OpenShift clusters (e.g. CAdvisor, Docker Stats, Scout, etc)
· 5+ years of experience working with graphing frameworks (e.g. Graphite, Grafana, etc)
· Experience working within a mature DevOps environment
· Experience working with private and/or public cloud platforms (e.g. OpenStack, OpenShift, AWS, etc)
· Programming experience (e.g. Shell, Python, Ruby, GO, etc)
· Development experience is a plus
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
