Job Description :
The SCCM engineer role requires a deep technical knowledge of Configuration Manager as well as a broad background supporting Microsoft technologies. This individual should have a history of successfully deploying, configuring and supporting Configuration Manager 2012 R2 in technically complex global environments. This individual will work with Level 3 technical team members to assist with the implementation, configuration and troubleshooting of SCCM. This individual will also train and guide Level 2 team members through resolution of common issues. This individual must demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and mentoring.

Core competencies:
Deep knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2012 R2 – deployment, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance in a global enterprise environment
Troubleshooting client health issues
Configuring and troubleshooting distribution points
Configuring and troubleshooting software update deployments and client-side issues
Development of automation scripts using PowerShell
Creation of custom queries and reports
Creation of documentation and training of additional support personnel

Additional skills:

5+ years hands-on technical experience administering Microsoft Windows-based systems at an enterprise level
MCSE certification desired
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems including Server 2008R2/2012R2 and Windows 7/10
Good working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, LDAP, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WMI, SNMP
Working knowledge of MS SQL Server usage and administration in large environments
Experience with additional System Center tools including Operations Manager (SCOM), Orchestrator (SCORCH) and Service Management Automation (SMA) a huge plus
Competent management of competing priorities and workloads
Demonstrated experience participating in incident, problem, and change control processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including creation of technical documentation
Strong mentoring skills and technical cross-training of team members
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
