Key Skill
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent area
7+ years of experience in software development
Experience designing, setting up from scratch, and scaling continuous build, integration and deployment process from dev to production multiple times a day using tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Artifactory, Nexus, maven, Ant, rpm and pop
Strong application development knowledge of technologies such as NodeJS, Ruby on Rails, Java, Python, JavaScript, CSS
Fluency in scripting languages like ruby, python and bash
Experience in test and infrastructure automation and configuration solutions such as Selenium, chef, puppet, ansible or salt
Experience and enthusiasm for virtualization and cloud solutions like Azure, AWS, vCloud, openshift, vagrant and docker
Experience in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design driven development, building highly scalable applications, application security, etc
Knowledge of systems administration – load balancers and network protocols etc.
Responsibility
Influence business owners and delivery teams to shape DevOps culture at the digital delivery unit
Own the definition and execution of the DevOps roadmap, tools and processes
Design, set up and execute key strategic initiatives around continuous deployment, build automation, automated testing, release management and infrastructure systems from scratch
Set up and maintain continuous delivery ecosystem by enabling cloud-speed infrastructure, one-click automated deployments to production and ability to ship software multiple times a day
Work closely with architect and tech leads to ensure investment in and development of DevOps capabilities, and finalize specifications related to integration between systems
Configure and maintain servers and processes, including monitoring of systems health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability and security
Troubleshoot infrastructure, environment and systems to respond to issues and develop solutions
Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to team
