We, currently, have an immediate requirement for a Physical Design Engineer/Application Engineer, per the details given below
Title: Physical Design Engineer/Application Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration: 3+ Months Contract
Description:
Responsible for providing technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electronic equipment, computer systems and/or complex software.
Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
Major tasks involving product specs and/or features with high complexity.
Drives new and existing product evolution. May be involved in customer installation and training.
The individual will have regular and proactive contact with external customers to deliver customer specific training or minor consulting services.
Good knowledge of high-level design methodologies, strong communication, leadership skills are required.
Proficient with C/C++, Unix, HDL (Verilog/VHDL) and a strong understanding of ASIC design flows. VLSI, and/or CAD engineering.
Knowledge of competitive EDA tool products and product knowledge in any of the areas of Synthesis, Simulation, Verification, Place and Route, Design Reuse and/or Physical Design is highly desired.
