Job Title: Software Requirement Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA 92121
Duration: 12 months (contract to hire)

Job Description
Software Requirements Engineering is responsible for analyzing user needs, gathering and synthesizing product requirements, and producing user stories that drive the product development backlog.
This position will engage with technical staff and business stakeholders to create, evolve, and manage software requirements for connectivity, interoperability, common services and security framework.

Qualifications:
Experienced with developing and managing software requirements for product connectivity, interoperability, and product support software.
Knowledge of Health Information Exchange and HIT Interoperability,
Familiarity with HL7 2.x standards or other form of Electronic Data Exchange
Excellent working knowledge of current MS Windows desktop and server O/S’s
Ability to work independently and collaborate as a member of a cross-functional team.
Good interpersonal skills, including customer interactions.
Experience with Product Risk Assessment.
Demonstration of good documentation practices.
Experience working in Lean/Agile Development Teams strongly preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation server or similar Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools.
A minimum of 3+ years related work experience required
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of requirements analysis techniques and tools.
Independently elicits user and business needs, translating these into product requirements through a variety of best-practice techniques, including user interviews and surveys, functionality analysis, and rationalization of VOC.
Demonstrated capacity develop and manage product requirements, agile user stories, user needs
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with minimum supervision.
Serve as an expert within a technical area and educate others on technical issues.
Desired
Familiarity with Cloud Computing services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, private and public cloud environments) Familiarity with security and privacy standards (OWASP, HIPAA, and NIST)
Bachelor''s degree.
