Algorithmic Trading Developer

We are looking for an outstanding candidate to be a part of agile, highly professional team delivering client-facing, high-availability low-latency trading algorithms and related technology. This person is responsible for developing and supporting the products, and will report to the technical lead.
Responsibilities
Hands-on design and development of Client’s global equity trading algorithm suite including the trading strategies themselves as well as key infrastructure components including low latency order management, order handling interfaces, rules engines, messaging layers and other frameworks and utility services.
Develop, maintain and enhance existing smart order routing strategies (trading tactics) within Client’s smart order router platform.
Succeed in an environment where everyone participates in all aspects of the development process.
Develop innovative solutions in a strategic, pragmatic way.
Keep current with industry trends and incorporates emerging best practices into everyday work.
Qualifications/Skills
Proven track record in designing, developing and implementing sell-side trading algorithms such as VWAP, POV etc., as well as equity trading market tactics.
The ideal candidate has had 5+ years of design and development experience within an equity trading desk’s algorithmic development group.
BS/BA degree or higher in Mathematics, Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Has knowledge of lit and dark market micro-structure and regulatory matters (Reg NMS, ISO orders, dark pools, liquidity finding, venue heat maps, historical profile, etc in the US and/or other global markets.
Extensive knowledge of real-time algorithmic trading systems.
A strong aptitude for analytical and quantitative thinking.
Expert proficiency with computer technologies including Java, Linux, and OO Design.
Strong multithreaded and network programming experience.
Proven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Excellent listening, written, analytical, strategic and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated development skills in a collaborative, team oriented style.
