Position: Oracle Technical Analyst
Location: Houston, TX
Job Description:
The Oracle Technical Systems Analyst will perform technical designing,
developing RICEW components and OA Framework related components; will also
perform analysis, testing and debugging on issues reported in the Oracle
Financials Applications. This position will identifsy potential problems
and recommend alternative solutions; provide programming estimates, deliver
well Application Implementation Methodology (AIM) standard documentation,
program code and prepare code to designs and GUI standards. This position
will also be responsible for completing assigned tasks accurately in a
timely fashion and report status of assigned tasks. It will ensure that
expected application performance levels are achieved and deliver an
excellent production support and customer service. This will be a team
player working in close cooperation with the manager and other technical or
functional team members.
*Responsibilities:*
- Exceptional Ability to design and develop Oracle RICEW components, OA
Framework components, Unix Shell-scripting, Interfaces and conversion
components
- Should be able to prepare Design and Unit Test documents with the AIM
standards
- Ability to understand functional design documents and convert them to
technical design with minimal possible customization
- Should be able to write the PLSQL code with the best possible
performance tuning
- Ability to understand Procure-to-pay (PTP), Order-to-cash (OTC)
business flows
- Provide production support on all aspects of the Oracle Financials
Applications environment
- Exceptional ability to diagnose and solve system problems while
working under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines in a limited resources
environment
- Proven interpersonal skills, with ability to work productively and
professionally with any level of business and technical resources
- Ability to deliver end-to-end solution for support problems and
development tasks including identifying the issue, configuration,
development and testing
- Ability to work effectively with Oracle Support to resolve Service
Request (SR) issues
- Team player who can work in a collaborative Oracle Financials
Applications environment which integrate with custom .net applications and
Oracle Human Capital Management Applications
- Ability and willingness to quickly understand the custom application
environments and business processes and integration around the custom
applications with Oracle Financials Applications to take ownership of
solutions
- Ability to assist other developers or analysts with their projects as
needed
*Candidate Requirements*:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- At least 6 years experience of hands-on functional and technical
experience in Oracle Financials Applications Release 12 environments
- Proven interpersonal skills; ability to work productively and
professionally with any level of business resources.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to
convey business and technical concepts to subject matter experts and
non-technical professionals
- Proficient with General Ledger, iProcurement, iSupplier, Fixed Assets,
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Internet Expenses, Cash
Management, Inventory, BOM, WIP modules of Oracle Financials Applications
with functional and technical understanding
- Experience with hands-on Oracle Financials Applications implementation
and support with a detailed understanding of General Ledger and sub-ledger
month-end closing processes
- Proficient in use of OA Frameworks, Oracle Reports 10g, Oracle Forms
10g, Oracle PL/SQL, XML, Application Object Library (AOL), Concurrent
Programs setup and scheduling, Oracle J-Developer, Oracle Workflow
- Experience with Oracle API s and custom interfaces
