JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a SAP Basis analyst who has extensive experience in supporting Archiving and Opentext Archive application on a very large scale SAP systems or a candidate who has strong technical background and enthusiastic to learn more about SAP. The candidate will work in Global teams, and to support a multitude of SAP environments on different platforms located in other time-zones and have various interaction with various EMIT functions and indirectly with Business users.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The group provides SAP Archiving support activities for existing SAP installations and project work for new installations. This includes

Provide Archiving support and implementation of SAP structure and non-structure data
Provide day to day operation support, administration and maintenance of SAP Data Archiving activities to control the database growth and ensure that the systems’ performance is in the good shape.
Provide support to ensure Archiving system and Service availability 24x7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues on timeline manner.
Perform System and Service monitoring of SAP system connections to Archive servers, Scheduling jobs, Print list report, DART report, etc.
Coordinate with various technical team and also Business users to implement SAP data archiving according to business requirement and Global Archiving Strategy
Provide support, tool and solution to Business users for data extraction and retrieval for both SAP structured data and non-structure data

TEAM GEOGRAPHY: Bangkok (Thailand), Budapest (Hungary), Curitiba (Brazil), Houston (USA)

Primary skills

Prior experience with multiple releases of SAP R/3 (3.1, 4.0, 4.6, ECC6)
Prior Basis support, administration and implementation experience in the following areas:
o SAP Archiving
o Opentext Archive server (IXOS)
o Opentest Content server
o ILM (Information Lifecycle Management)
o DVM (Data Volume Management) on solution manager


Secondary Skills:

Prior experience with large-scale, global SAP installations
Prior experience with multiple R/3 implementation types (FI-CO, MM, PS, HR, CRM, BW implementations)
Prior in-depth experience in technical ABAP4 programming, analysis of SAP source code, performance statistics and dumps
Prior experience as database administrator or equivalent knowledge about database technology (Oracle, DB2, MS SQL)
Prior experience as Server administrator or equivalent knowledge about Windows and Unix server operation

The individual in this position will work as members of a global team. A high degree of working hour flexibility along with time-zone awareness and consideration for cultural differences is required. Also willing to provide on-call or stand by support during holidays or weekend according to the schedule.
