Job Title: Migration Specialist / Tech Lead
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Dearborn, MI


Job Summary: This position will support the DealerConnection technology team in managing the development, delivery and maintenance of FordDirect’s DealerConnection DataFeeds platform. This candidate will be responsible for support functionality, documentation, development, file transfer maintenance and working with Ford IT to maintain hardware.
Essential Job Functions:

Primary Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include solving technical issues and integrations, day-to-day low level troubleshooting, and cross-functionally work to execute initiatives. Some project management is required as this candidate will need to budget their time and efforts to meet project deadlines.
Other Responsibilities: Other responsibilities are to monitor and recommend strategies to enhance operational efficiency and support of new product launches.

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
1. Work well independently and with team based projects to document, learn and take production support of a vendor developed platform.
2. Develop plans and code small to medium projects to business requirements while monitoring project risks.
3. Propose technically feasible solutions and set accurate expectations on effort and timelines for development & implementation.
4. Oversees all phases of the project, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and other relevant areas of IT throughout.
5. Ensures all deliverables and commitments are met and in compliance with relevant standards and methodologies.
6. Lead the troubleshooting of technical issues from start to completion.
7. Perform SQL reporting, data audits, data clean up and inserts & deletes
8. Manage scope change, feature requests and defect tickets.
9. Abide by the policies and procedures of the company.
10. Must be able to effectively communicate in both internal and external relationships.
11. Safeguard the company’s intellectual property, information, and assets.
12. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
13. May be required to perform BA type duties.
14. Special ad-hoc project for the FordDirect technology team
15. Automotive/OEM experience is preferred
16. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technology field preferred or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
17. Must have intermediate knowledge of IT functions and services (file transfers, web services, defect management, etc)
18. Must have advanced customer interaction skills with an ability to build and sustain trusted relationships both internally and externally.
19. Must have the ability to design and improve workflows and processes.
20. Must have the ability to self-manage and prioritize work schedule per business needs.
21. Must have the ability to work flexible hours to support application launch and production outages as needed but this is rare.
22. Must have strong teamwork skills and be able to foster a collaborative environment.
23. Must be able to work effectively under tight timelines.
24. Must be able to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
25. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
