Role: WCS Admin
Location: Seattle WA
Duration : 7 Months
WCS Admin:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
At least 8+ years of experience with IT Infrastructure Skills
Install, Configure and Administer WebSphere Commerce server and WebSphere Application server on AIX, Linux &
Windows platform for Dev, QA, Staging and Production environments.
Configure and Install IBM WebSphere Commerce Server 6.x/ 7.x /8.x on AIX, Linux & Windows platforms.
Configure and install Solar 4.7 server
Experience in Troubleshooting, Performance Tuning/Monitoring, Applying Maintenance, Fep Upgrade, Migration.
Stage Propagation to copy data and manage files from Staging to Production.
Trouble shoot the deployments and stage propagations issues.
WCBD automation process via Jenkins/Hudson tool.
Install and upgrade commerce fixpacks & feature packs.
Install and upgrade DB2 fix packs as required along with Websphere commerce upgrade
Experience in Webservers like IBM Http server (IHS) and Apache webserver.
Should have knowledge in Installation, Configuration, deployment and transition to support.
Should Configure monitoring tools and proactively analyze performance and reliability of applications, Manage system performance, monitoring, and activity of all systems
Experience in Troubleshooting and configuration in case of failuresWCS Admin Responsibilities:
Responsible to Schedule, test and deploy regular fixes, patches and upgrades of WebSphere Commerce
components and WebSphere based solutions to multiple environments. Configure and update SSL certificates for
WebSphere servers as required.
He / She will also drive coordination with various internal groups (networking, firewall, database etc) to
troubleshoot and resolve all aspects of environment setup.
Responsible for driving, managing and coordinating the response to all critical, major and high priority incidents
Responsible for installing and configuring Solar 4.7 server
Responsible for modifying build and deployment scripts based on the software upgrade.
Provide deep WCS technical support and administration support
Responsible for the installation, configuration, and tuning of WCS environments
Knowledge of tuning a WCS environment in production, testing, and development
Trouble shoot configuration and run time errors and issues associated with WCS production
Collaborate across other technical teams, including client IT technical infrastructure support
Implementing new features within the client environment
24x7 support for all major / critical incidents
Identify areas for automation using tools or scripting languages.
