Job Description
Client is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to implement architecture of various engineering projects such as Marketplace.
You must have experience in integrating third party platforms and/or services using their APIs.
You should enjoy working in a startup-like environment and be able to function well independently or in cross-functional teams.
This position offers challenging opportunities to leverage your strong architecture, design and technical knowledge to deliver next generation of products to be used by our customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
Lead a development team, which is composed of local and outsourced development teams in different time zones.
Hands-on development experience. Design and write clean, robust, well-tested server side code.
Perform research and development to evaluate new technologies, ideas and communicate value for company.
Ability to work with business users, product managers, QA, Release, and UI and Platform Engineering teams.
Must have complete understanding of Agile methodologies.
Skills & Qualifications
· BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or related fields. Master’s degree a plus.
· 6+ years J2EE/Java
· Experience in implementing service-oriented (SOA) architectures and web services
· Experienced in Agile development methodologies / Continuous Integration
· Bonus points for: Amazon AWS EC2/S3/RDS
· Understanding of operations on RDDs, Map Reduce, HDFS, Hadoop,Spark
· Understanding of online advertising landscape and technologies is desired
