Our client, a world’s leading toy and baby products retailer, seeks an accomplished CAD Specialist.
Description:
This position is responsible for providing architectural, fixtures and technical assistance to the Design Project Managers and Store Planning group, utilizing AutoCAD systems.
Primary responsibility will be coordinating design, architectural/construction drawings and Fixture plan developments utilizing AutoCAD.
Development, coordination and revision of Fixture Plans and other Design Development Drawings with Design Project Managers / Construction Project Managers.
Develop project from conceptual design through completed Fixture layout(s Assist Store Planning group in developing/designing/revising the F1 plans.
Assist Design Project Managers in maintaining all construction documents consistent with the latest fixture plan revisions.
Checking drawings for dimensional and notation accuracy.
Interact with other Departments i.e., Store Planning, Asset Protection, IT, Operations, etc. as needed on individual projects.
Requirements:
Bachelors of Architecture or Architectural Technology, Interior Design or with three years retail architectural CAD experience or Associates in Architectural Technology with eight years retail architectural CAD experience.
Solid drafting and production skills along with in depth knowledge of building and construction methods, codes, municipality codes, and procedures. Understanding of building & municipality codes.
Minimum 3 years design experience using AutoCAD. Experience with AutoCAD 2013 or later version, Google Sketchup strongly, 3-D Max, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and Autodesk Revit preferred.
Architecture, construction, engineering and/or project management background preferred.
AutoLISP routine programming experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft - Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
