This is a fully telecommute role primarily supporting business based in Eastern Europe and EST, so someone in EST already would be highly preferable.

This is a new client, so we need to make sure we are putting our absolute best foot forward.

Proven Resource ideally with experience working remotely or on globally dispersed teams.

Hiring Process: 30 minute phone interview
The client is cost conscious as they are also looking at potential resources based in India, so we need to be competitive while also bringing top quality

Top Skills:
2-3 years of ROR experience – MUST HAVE
Experience working with legacy/enterprise-large code base, with relatively poor documentation
Someone who has worked with a legacy code base, ideally a SaaS enterprise project
Working independently with minimal direction and proven results
Two week Agile sprints and deploy to production environment 2x/week. Could be deploying this candidates’ work incrementally OR in one big push.
Presume they’ll know GIT
Working from home/globally dispersed team

Here is the general job summary from the client:
The current team works remote and is globally disbursed so resource location isn’t a major driver but they would need to easily overlap with US east-coast for at least half the workday.
Demonstrate capability and have at least 2-3 years experience with Ruby on Rails (ideally with an enterprise SaaS product)
Background in MVC Design and Architecture
Worked with an application that has continuous deployment/integration testing/release processes
"Full stack” (front and backend) web development experience
HTML5, CSS, and Javascript (React) experience
SQL database experience/knowledge
Be well versed in gems, rails web services, messaging patterns, data engineering and OOP background
Experience performing code reviews, enforcing coding standards, mentoring junior developers, and managing technical resources within project schedules
Experience designing with RSpec, TDD and CI environments
Experience working with GIT
