Position Description / Description of Duties:

Purpose of Position/Summary:
This position will provide senior level Microsoft .Net application development support for the Epidemiology Resource Center. Incumbent will work as part of a development team as well as independently on projects.
This position will be responsible for performing ) development and application testing using Visual Studio 2008/2010/2012 and SQL/Oracle databases. Knowledge of database design including effective use of keys and views is desired. Adherence to coding standards and compliance with software development methodologies defined in established SDLC process flows as well as ability to observe privacy and security practices is required. Position is responsible for ensuring that the business requirements are met in a timely manner. Incumbent is expected to submit ongoing technical recommendations for the improvement and streamline of current business processes.


Job Requirements:
Six (6) years, full-time professional work experience in an Information Technology environment with Four (4) full years of applications development experience;
Proficient with one or more of the following: ASP.Net, VB. Net, SQL, Oracle DB, or other widely used applications development tool;
2 years accredited college training in Information Technology or related f1eld; or a Certificate in information Technology is a plus but not required
Advance knowledge of the information systems development life cycle, information technology, project tools and approaches to development and implementation;
Thorough knowledge of enterprise security practices;
Ability to work in a team environment;
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to maintain effective and professional working relationships with internal and external customers, and vendors.
