Key Skills
An experienced SysAdmin : Must be a senior level Unix/Linux with 5 – 8 years of experience
Should be excellent in scripting: Bash, Powershell, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, Python and RESTFUL APIs - Atleast 5yrs of experience
Expert in production environment tools : Chef, Puppet, Ansible and Bash – Github
Good Knowledge fo AWS services:
Experience and/or in depth Knowledge of private cloud, dat centers & other cloud platforms is a plus
Experience and/or in depth Knowledge of Containerization such as Docker, kubernetes, Mesos etc.is desirable
Hands on experience in AWS provisioning
Knowledge of application deployment and data migration on AWS
Previous continuous integration and deployment expertise ( Jenkins or similar)
Good communications Skills
Must have skills
5+ years of developing server-side software with object-oriented languages like Java/Nodejs
2/3 years of experience with some RDBMS SQL server/Oracle
3+ years of experience in Linux
Should be comfortable setting up a RHEL server
Installing and configuring common open source tools and softwares
Comfortable working with shell and small scripts
Basic OS trouble shooting skills (DNS, network, SSH etc)
Ability to configure and work with SSH
Ability to install and work on Linux over windows host
2+ years of hands on experience in using and troubleshooting following AWS service
EC2 - AMI, EBS, EIP, ASG
VPC - Subnets, Route Tables, SG, Internet GW, NAT gateway, NACL
ECS - Service definitions, task definitons, ECS agent
ELB/ALB
S3
Cloudwatch
2+ years of experience in docker
Installing, configuring and troubleshooting docker
Create docker file
Run and troubleshoot docker applications
Nice to have skills
Terraform
Ansible
Microservice architecture
Service discovery
Consul/Vault
Chef
Appdynamics/Datadog/newRelic or some other monitoring tool
Connecting and logging to enterprise level logging applications like Splunk
Mesos/Marathon
