Position Description / Description of Duties:

Role Description:


Candidates must have 80-90% of the following:
·         Senior level
·         Strong automation on the last 2-3 projects ( Strong Selenium )
·         Strong framework experience
·         Strong service layer testing

·         Strong keyword driven, data-driven framework experience
·         Strong service layer testing
·         Review and understand business requirements and use cases
·         Create test scenarios and test cases from business and functional requirements
·         Understand and analyze existing test cases; validate test cases for completeness
·         Design keyword-based automation framework using Selenium
·         Create keyword-driven, data-driven test automation scripting for functional and user interface testing
·         Write reusable functions, both application independent and application dependent
·         Debug existing scripts and interpret log files for maintenance
·         Create and execute SQL queries and validate databases using an automation tool
·         Evaluate reported defects and oversee re-testing of prioritized defects
·         Work closely with developers and testers as needed to create and maintain scripts, and log defects.
·         Prepares test data or works with data analysts to define test data needs.
·         Logs defects with associated documentation using JIRA or HP QC; works with development team to explain and help resolve defects
·         Estimate work when needed.
·         Provides status reporting; attends daily standup meetings when working in an Agile team.
·         Quickly learns and understands existing applications that are undergoing upgrades
·         Maintains complete confidentiality of client business and strategies.
·         Invests off-hours time in ongoing self-study (provided by Ciber) for DevOps, Big Data, Cloud, APIs, and Mobility
·         Flexible; willing and able to do manual testing when needed.
Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
·         Minimum 5 years of testing experience with both manual and automation testing
·         3+ years of hands-on experience in Test Automation using Selenium; HP QTP experience a plus
·         Experience testing APIs, using SOAPUI, Groovy, is desired; experience with REST is a plus
·         Experienced in designing keyword-based automation framework; knowledgeable in different automation frameworks.
·         Good understanding of the entire project life cycle, QA methodologies and processes
·         Experienced in Agile and/or Kanban methodologies
·         Experienced with JIRA tool for work assignments and logging defects
·         Strong, effective interpersonal and communications skills; able to interact professionally with clients and team members.
·         Understands application testing requirements and testing strategy
·         Self-starter, motivated to take ownership of projects and drive tasks to completion
·         Knowledge of HP QC is a must
·         Ability to mentor other team members on implementation of automation framework and automation scripts is a plus
DevOps training / experience is a plus
·         Experience with hotel property management systems and reservation systems is a plus
·         Experience working with offshore teams is a must
