Job Description :
Software Engineer with experience developing in Java to design and implement delivery adapter code components for our AGA suite of products. AGA application suite consists of planning and operations products to integrate, model, analyze and visualize power system data from various data sources such as GIS, SCADA and AMI that are already deployed in the field.
Responsible for the design and development of data adapters to meet the ‘SDK’ requirements for the AGA suite of applications
Work with AGA team members to interpret specialized requirements and produce custom code (when required
Assist the integration architects in preparing design documents
Identify implementable tasks from the requirements; define milestones for each task
Implement and test software modules to the design using OOAD techniques
Develop high quality code components in Java and No-SQL languages
Work with remote teams to come up with the best solution possible for our customers
Follow company polices and coding standards
Identify and report any technical/software issues and concerns to the team lead and help resolve them as soon as possible
Required Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of software design and development experience
Strong programming experience in Java
Strong software design using OOAD skills
Experience working with No-SQL and or relational databases
Experience developing database schema, writing queries and using ORM tools
Development experience with Eclipse IDE, Windows and Linux
Excellent communication and writing skills
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in working with huge volumes of data and analytics.
Experience in java, C/C++ or C#
Experience in using and developing code in Java for MongoDB
Experience with application servers such as Apache Tomcat
Experience with database servers such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and DB2
Experience in developing web services using SOAP or RESTful APIs
Knowledge on power system modeling and analysis or energy management systems
