Job Description:
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Support the Development & Delivery needs for Ally in areas of Middleware & Network Engineering. The primary functions include but not limited to: -
Support Delivery Teams with Environment related duties related to F5, Firewalls requests, DNS requests, 3rd party connectivity, monitoring tools & Log analytics in pre-prod environments during Project SDLC
Interface with Network and Firewall teams as Delivery team liason with a strong Software Development, *nix & Networking Technologies background
Collaborate and create technology roadmap with TI/Middleware teams leveraging Knowledge & understanding of middleware systems (eg: Jboss, Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache etc)
Facilitate SME to application teams & hosting / operations team to design / develop, configure & install F5 setup
Facilitate Network Connectivity for internal & 3rd party interactions and maintain vendor relations
Facilitate Environments readiness and Sync Up activities
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience on developing / designing F5 based application architecture (irules) & peripherals support configurations (profiles etc)
Experience with writing Irules , custom profile, monitors
Familiarity with *nix systems (Unix / Linux admin knowledge)
Experience administering application servers & webservers (Weblogic, Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Nginx etc)
Scripting experience in Unix / Linux, WLST & CLI
Ability to understand concepts of network such as routing / DNS / DHCP etc
Knowledge of Firewalls, VPN Tunnels, network architecture
Experience with Monitoring tools & Analytics tools (Sciencelogic, splunk, tealeaf)
Knowledge of Akamai CDN
Knowledge / experience with GTM is a plus
Knowledge of IT architecture / infrastructure & SDLC practices
Ability to manage the relationship between various teams and maintain vendor relations
Effective Communications skills and Time Management Skills
Willingness to troubleshoot problems and meet problem resolutions in an effective manner
Eagerness to learn enough about whatever tools & tricks are needed to get the job done
Ability to occasionally work off-hours / weekends
Minimum Qualifications/Must Have:
5/7 years of Technical Experience in F5 & Network along with Middleware stack
Experience with networking and firewall changes.
Exposure to *nix systems, Weblogic, Jboss and Apache servers
Effective Communications skills
Effective Time Management skills
Effective People / Relation building skills
