Job Description :
Position: Support Coordinator
Location: New Hartford, NY
Duration: 6 Months

Description:
Able to read and understand Customer one line and three line diagrams, including relaying.
Understand basic electrical nomenclature such as nameplate rating, power factor, kW, KVA, MW, MVA, kVAR, etc.
With some training understand basic distribution system equipment:
o Substation breakers, bus work, switchgear line ups, bus tie, etc.
o Substation switches
o Substation transformers
o Feeder sectionalizing devices such as switches and reclosers.
o Capacitor banks
o Ratio transformers
o Three phase vs single phase construction
o Secondary crib construction
o Pole & pad mounted transformers
o Feeder fuses (fuse coordination)
o Understand overhead and underground feeder basic construction
o Client’s Secondary and Primary metering standards
Understanding of Client ESB 756 and Specifications for Electrical Installations.
Quickly develop understanding of Anti-Islanding and 3V0 protection issues.
Understanding of NYSIR and Net Metering tariff.

Requirements:
HS diploma. Advanced Technical degree required.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Word and Excel (PowerPoint
Ability to utilize mapping programs such as Google Earth, Bing Maps, etc. and correlate to GIS information.
With training become proficient in the utilization of RCC drawings (Substation, URD, transmission system drawings), GIS, Feed Pro, ArcGIS, PI, etc.
Good verbal communication skills to be able to discuss technical issues with internal and external stake holders.
