*Business Intelligence – MicroStrategy Tech Lead…. Must have Experience w/ OFF/ON Shore Project *
Role and Responsibilities:
The BI MicroStrategy Tech Lead need to work with customer IT team and Business Users on daily basis to gather requirements and convert requirements into Technical Specs documents and then work with offshore team to define the objects which needs to developed/coded, tested and support UAT to meet customer timelines and expectations on multiple small to mid size strategice projects. This resource need to have well defined Project Management experience to track the deliverables and provide status updates on weekly/bi-weekly basis.
Key Skills:
The BI MicroStrategy Tech Lead will require 12+ years of experience in all or any of the following skills:
Extensive knowledge in implementation MicroStrategy Reporting Projects
Must have at least 4-5 full cycles SDLC process implemented.
Will work closely with user departments; gather and interpret business requirements, documents and translate these requirements appropriately for data modelers, ETL and warehouse developers
Strong knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts, hands-on development of attributes, facts, dimensions, transformations, dynamic dashboards, grids, graphs, scorecards, and statistical reporting using MicroStrategy including version 10. 2 and beyond.
Experience with project setup, schema creation, development of queries, documents and dashboard
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Strong Retail experience and good communicative skills.
Experience designing and building metrics, dashboards and reports with MicroStrategy.
Very good SQL knowledge and strong trouble shooting skills.
Advanced knowledge in writing BTEQ and Mload Scripts.
Should have extensive knowledge on AS400 systems.
Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities.
Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required.
Proven track record mastering manual database-related tasks and building automation wherever possible.
Work on enhancements to add additional functionality within existing BI system.
Collaborate with other departments in the creation of reporting and metrics.
Should be a self starter and very good communicative skills
This resource will be placed in strategic projects and existing BI small project needs.
Good Exposure on:
Sales Operations, Order Management, Supply Chain, Retail, Accounting/ Sales Reporting & Analytics.
Service Oriented Architecture and other data mining, data marts architectural design from DW and BI standpoint.
Different Datasources and PL/SQL query based conversion/transformation rules.
RDBMS and database knowledge on IBM, Oracel based databases.
Work in a supple talented team on various projects and Good Communication skills are other essential skills.
Responsibilities:

Develop and design software based prototypes.
Should take part in testing of prototypes.
Should be updated with the software and be proactive.
Should be flexible to learn new programs and script languages.
Should show good levels of enthusiasm and interest in all computer related activities
