IT Developer Analyst III (R16-117)

In this role you’ll work on a team performing complex analysis, design, development and support of customer service applications. You’ll work with talented, creative and innovative employees using current software engineering methods and technologies. You will also partner with your new manager and team mates to support you in your new role and in your professional development in your new career at PGE.

We are seeking applicants interested in learning to support PGE’s current Customer Information Systems.

A Developer/Support Analyst at PGE is a software engineer who performs some process analysis and application design work and is primarily engaged in the monitoring, maintenance and support, administration, configuration and enhancement of business applications. Developer/support Analysts work with System Analysts, DBA’s, Business Analysts, and other Developer Analysts to provide high quality software applications that support the business objectives of PGE. Developer/Support Analyst participates in on-call, 24x7 support for production applications and systems on a rotating basis. This position resides in IT Applications department, working closely with and providing Tier 2/3 support to the business clients in the contact center.

We are seeking candidates with:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or Business equivalent (professional experience considered)

Required - At least 2 years’ experience in a contact center setting, all three of the following are required:

Administering and supporting a work force management (WFM) application, such as
NICE WFM (formerly IEX Totalview), Genesys WFM, or Aspect WFM

Analyzing relevant data and developing contact center reports from multiple data
sources, including telephony (e. g. NICE Recording)
Liaison between contact center clients and vendor, issuing and tracking vendor
support tickets to resolution

Desire to learn other customer applications and tools

Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT or contact center with hands-on continuous work
experience in development, implementation, administration and maintenance of IT
applications and systems

The ability to work effectively in a team environment

Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated application programming skills and write unit test scripts

Working knowledge of current software engineering practices and common
computing architectures

Proven effective at quickly learning new skills and capabilities

Strong investigative and troubleshooting skills

Experience in translating business requirements in to a technical solution

Additional qualifications desired could include (PGE would foster learning environment to gain these skills):

Oracle PL SQL / SQL
Middleware/ETL interface development
Application server technologies such as: Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, Websphere or
WebLogic
XML, XSLT, XAI / Web services
Cisco Unified Intelligence Center (CUIC) as part of Cisco Unified Contact Center
Enterprise suite, develop and maintain reports
Business Objects report development BOXI, or comparable reporting tool
Experience in ITIL Foundations, Incident, WorkOrder, Change Management processes
Proven track record of success working in a matrixed team environment; agile/scrum

Understands the implications of new technologies. Demonstrates clear leadership and the ability to influence and persuade. Has a broad understanding of all aspects of IT and deep understanding of own specialism(s Understands and communicates the role and impact of IT in the employing organization and promotes compliance with relevant legislation. Takes the initiative to keep both own and subordinates'' skills up to date and to maintain an awareness of developments in the IT industry.

PGE is a regional provider of electric power. A Security Analyst may be required to travel within the PGE service area and to its generation facilities. Occasional overnight stays may be required. Expected travel would be no more than 5% of work time.

Valid driver''s license is required.
