IT Architect - DevOps Transformation – Must have great experience with PUPPET,, VMware Orchestration, and AWS cloud formation.
Qualifications:
· IT Operations leadership experience
· Design and develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to support Bid & Proposal efforts and on-going operations.
· DevOps leadership and IT Operations transformation experience with 80% packaged systems, 20% custom systems
· Experience with technical planning, deployment, integration, test/validation, and configuration of Commercial-off- the-Shelf (COTS), and custom software in both the Linux and Windows operating environments.
· Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment (AWS, Azure, VMWare, etc
· Lead technical solution development for Bid & Proposal efforts.
· Create technical estimates to support Bid & Proposal efforts.
· Support the development of reusable solutions for software intensive work efforts.?
Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 to 5 years design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns.
· Minimum of 3 to 5 years managing an IT Operations environment
· Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ hands on experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Chef, Ansible, PUPPET, Artifactory, Service Now, Sonar, Selenium
· Minimum of 5 years of experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery and release of software
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience with managing teams including progress monitoring and reporting
· Minimum of 5 year of experience working in an Agile delivery environment
· Minimum of 5 year of experience with Linux (writing shell scripts)
· Minimum of 3 years'' experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Java, Perl, Ruby, or Python
Preferred Skills:
· 5 years of DevOps leadership and transformation experience
· Environment Monitoring tools
· Candidate should have experience leading a multi-disciplinary teams, working in a fast paced, high velocity agile environment
· Approaches and tooling for automated software assurance and QA.
· The use of Public/Private cloud and Virtualization Technologies
· Experience with project or program management
· Defining and managing the roadmap for implementation of DevOps in an established operation.
· Working within a structured environment, including the use of structured methods and approaches and modern development tools.
· Experience of technical architecture – i.e. the design and delivery of IT systems for a broad range of clients
· Service support – the use of DevOps, Continuous Delivery and ITIL concepts to lead an effective support operation
· In-depth knowledge of technology trends and standards, both from a business and technical viewpoints.
· Certifications in AWS or Azure highly preferred
