We are looking for a Technical Marketing Engineer to help support Intel''s Open Source Technology Center, Cloud & Data Center strategy. Our group is responsible for supporting and enabling Open Source projects including contributions to multiple Cloud and Data Center solutions supporting OpenStack, Linux distributions and the Linux kernel, networking and storage to name a few. This person will support the TME team in creating and delivering customer facing and field sales technical communications collateral including product demos, product technical information and proof of concept projects.
Key Requirements: A successful candidate will have all of these items to offer.
o Knowledge of or direct experience working with cloud, virtualization and container technologies: OpenStack, AWS, VMWare, Docker, RKT or similar
o Strong Linux administration skills
o Data Center Server & Infrastructure administration experience
o Solid understanding of Intel server architecture
o In-depth familiarity with hardware and firmware, including server builds from base components
o Excellent technical documentation skills
Desirable Extras: Candidates should have some of these items to offer.
o Strong cloud and application development skills including web services, cloud scaling applications, application load balancing and technologies
o Ability to code and/or script. (Python, Puppet/Chef, PHP, Java, etc
o Previous networking, NAS or distributed storage administration
o Knowledge of web services, cloud scaling applications and technologies
o QA or validation experience
o IoT interests or tinkering with the technology
