Job Description :
Position Purpose
Leads the design, development, delivery, and optimization of AIX operating systems, P Series hardware, and related software.
Serve as a subject matter expert for the design, deployment, and improvement of AIX and Power solutions.
Analyzes complex problems, business requirements, and technical requirements to develop effective AIX solutions.
Provides AIX consulting and design services to application developers, project teams, and other consumers of AIX services.
Skills Required
8 years experience as an AIX system engineer or administrator.
Experience designing, developing, delivering, and optimizing AIX and dependent applications.
Expert level knowledge and experience with at least one of the following: Power VM, VIO Servers, Live Partition Mobility, and Power VC.
Proven experience with creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting shell scripts.
Advanced knowledge of network virtualization using Power VM, virtual network switches, and VLAN trunking.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience supporting GPFS (IBM Spectrum Scale) and Power VP.
Proven experience delivering computing services within a project management framework.
Proven experience designing, creating, and maintaining NIM servers.
Experience mentoring and providing consulting services for the purpose of optimizing system performance, effectiveness, and efficiency.
Proven experience delivering computing services within a project management framework.
