Job Description: -
Perform activities related to the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL databases. Handle installations, upgrades, backups, and configuration. Confer with appropriate managers regarding problems with and capabilities of Microsoft SQL databases. May do limited amount of design and programming. Career-Level position within field. Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts complex work important to the organization. Works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires six to nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Candidate will be responsible for administrative functions regarding the health of SQL servers
Performance tuning
Addressing any database-related application issues
Setting up maintenance plans and performance metrics
SQL DBA with 8-10+ years’ experience in a mission critical production database environment, including:
SQL 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2016
Database Security
Database Backup and Recovery
Logical and Physical Design
Performance Tuning at instance and query optimization
Installs, Upgrades and Patches
Support High Availability and DR Architecture, including Always-On , Mirroring, Log Shipping, Clustering and mirroring
Capacity Planning
Very Large DB experience
SSRS, SSIS,SSRS admin experience
Required Experience
