Title: Unix Specialist
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Duration: 12+ Months
Max $45/hr on C2C
Duties:
· The candidate will work in Computing Platform Engineering and will be a member of the Unix Platforms team and engaged in aspects of software management on Linux and Solaris platforms.
· The work will include the design, development, and implementation of a cross-platform 3rd party software management and packaging utility, setting packaging standards, producing infrastructure to assist in proprietary software packaging within the organization.
· The candidate will also engage application development and system administration teams in the areas of packaging, software management, and software distribution
Skills:
· Solaris and Linux operating systems; Programming and scripting experience (shell, Perl, C, Java) Development methodologies and the development lifecycle.
· Thorough understanding and experience with Unix packaging standards, methodologies, tools, and approaches
Education:
· BA or BS in related field.
