Job Description :
This person will take up ownership of an authorization/authentication log in project similar to Facebook/Google+ login. They will not be doing hands on coding but it’s beneficial to have the technical knowledge. This candidate must have experience working in an Agile environment. I’ve include the description below. If you have someone like this, please send it over with the rate. I will not be able to disclose our client’s information so please do not ask who the client is.
Work Experience • (nice to have+) background in telecommunications
(nice to have) Experience in a JAVA/web app shop
(must have) working in the software engineering fields/domains
Project Info • Authorization/authentication project
Similar to things that exist now
Similar to using Facebook account to log into non-Facebook site
Team:
Philly - EM, App Support Eng, UI/UX Eng
OffShore - Scrum Master (SM), Java devs
Responsibilities • Candidate will be the Product Owner (PO) for the Agile project
So typical PO responsibilities: manage backlog; work hand in hand with Engineering Manager (EM)
Gather detailed requirements
Architect solutions
Certifications • While not required, more weight given to candidates from strong engineering schools
While not required, more weight given to those with engineering certifications
(nice to have) Agile certification
Tools • JIRA
Confluence
(nice to have) familiar with tools related to web services (ex. Postman)
(nice to have) capable of reading JSON/XML
Methodologies • (must have) Agile
(nice to have) DevOps
(nice to have) Behavior Driven Development
Additional Info • Needs true Analyst experience
Role more comparable to a Software Architect then it is to Project Manager
Want someone willing to convert full time one day
Upon conversion, would report to hiring manager and take on some team members as direct reports
Availability: ASAP - this is a replacement for a project currently in its 6th sprint
