Job Description :
Help Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on capabilities such as IT project execution, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, and Shared IT Services.
We are looking for experienced and highly-motivated candidates with expertise in Enterprise Architecture / Solution Architecture, directing, reviewing and facilitating CMS IT projects, advising CMS decision makers, and writing technical papers to support CMS’ decision making.
Key Functions: Applying your skills to support the following CMS activities:
Adherence to the CMS Technical Reference Architecture and Key Security requirements
Communications across cross-functional IT teams and Senior CMS management teams.
IT Strategy, development, and operations
Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities for the CMS IT systems
Assessing & reviewing CMS IT systems
Implementing and improving governance of CMS IT systems
Assist government staff to gain buy-in and approval for CMS IT systems
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in applying one or more of the following capabilities in complex IT environments:
Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
Experience in advising, leading, or managing complex projects
Ability to establish trusted relationships with CMS and act as advisor to senior government staff and executives
Systems Architecture of large-scale transformation projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with CMS and its Technical Reference Architecture (TRA) is preferred, but experience working on IT projects in other complex environments such as state and local government, non-profit organizations and private sector may be considered
Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Management Science, or related disciplines desirable
Minimum Qualifications: BS and 10 years related experience
