Title: Data Developer
Location: Alpharetta, GA 1 day per week (mandatory)- Hybrid
Duration: 6 months + extensions
Start Date: 1st week of April.
Day to Day:
LexisNexis Risk Solutions is looking for a Data Developer with 3-5 years of experience. The candidate will be focused on going through load rules and performing validations on incoming data as part of building a database. The candidate will not be coding, but they will be figuring out the logic of the code. The candidate will also be using SQL skills to manipulate and analyse data, including writing complex queries and performing joins as necessary. This could involve extracting data from various sources, transforming it as needed, and loading it into the database. The candidate should be open to learning new tools and technologies such as Tartus and ECL. This project is of high visibility and high priority to the entire business unit within Client Risk Solutions.
Must Haves:
- 3+ years exp in Python Scripting
- Experience with writing Python scripts for various tasks, including ETL processes.
- Candidates should have proficiency in Python, as well as exposure to Java.
- Understanding Code Logic: Ability to comprehend and analyse code logic, particularly in Java.
- ETL Tools
- Familiarity with ETL tools like SSIS and understanding of their functionalities.
- 3+ years exp with SQL
- Strong skills in data manipulation, particularly with SQL. Ability to write complex SQL queries, perform joins, and manipulate data effectively.
- Experience with GitHub: Familiarity with version control repositories.
- Willingness to Learn: The candidate will be trained on ECL - a client internal coding language.
- Familiar with data in JSON format
- Familiar with Unix/Linux Servers and commands
- Experience working in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Knowledge of test-driven development.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
